ACT MIM-12B Lance Block IV

Description
ACT presents
The MIM-12 Lance High-Speed Surface to Air Missile
Now with launcher!
The MIM-12B Lance Block IV is a fast, long ranged, heavy surface to air missile designed to intercept high altitude and high-speed targets. With a built-in inertial guidance system to keep the missile flying true, manual mid-flight course correction capability, and a short ranged, wide angled radar, the MIM-12 is deadly against all surface and air targets. The MIM-12 is a large missile, limiting its launch options, and usually has to have a launch platform built around it. It makes up for this with its impressive versatility and high cost-to-performance ratio. The Block IV upgrades to the MIM-12 increase its maximum off-bore target seeking ability, and improve the early flight characteristics over the Block III missile. The missile also now self-destructs upon reaching maximum range.

Features
  • Wide angled radar seeker
  • Manual mid-flight course correction (MMFCC)
  • Gyro-stabilized course following inertial guidance
  • High speed (>200 m/s)
  • ~4.5km maximum range
  • High (>96%) interception rate against targets moving up to 150 m/s

NOTE: mid-flight course correction can be broadcast using channel 1 for yaw and channel 2 for pitch, with no manual roll control. The missile is designed for guidance values of either 0 or 1. By default, all guidance is received on radio frequency 0.

To broadcast to different control frequencies, use the ACT Missile Launch Management System.
