New Orleans Class

This mod adds a new ship to Infinite - the New Orleans class from Next Generation!

Modelled by Tiphias, the New Orleans was originally shown on screen in the Next Generation episode; Best of Both Worlds. [memory-alpha.fandom.com] - this version however has not been destroyed by a Borg Cube and is totally ready for you to build!

This mod adds the New Orleans as a destroyer alternative, it uses roughly the same stats as the Intrepid class but is unlocked via a new tech specifically for the New Orleans. The tech can appear at any point in the early game but is heavily weighted to appear once 6 years have passed.

Known Issues
  • The tech icon for the New Orleans is currently the Galaxy Class unlock icon.
  • The ship can only use the name New Orleans, unless you are also subscribed to my name lists mod.


Future Plans
The above issues are known about and intended to be fixed. The future plan is also to give the New Orleans a specific niche/use and not match the Intrepid's stats so closely.



Compatability
This mod should have no compatability issues!

You do great work and enjoy seeing a Nola in the fleet. Any expectations for the other Lost Era/TNG background ships? Freedom, Niagara, etc? Nebula variants?

A gorgeous model from the creator, and a great choice to add to the game. A much more fitting early-game destroyer than the Intrepid.

The model*** was made by Tiphias, they may end up wanting to release ship mods themselves (this was the first one) - however if they want to give me the models I will happily release more. I believe the Springfield is on their list

Brilliant Mod the lack of Federation ship models was an issue with the game.
id like to see some of the Sector 001 battle ships as well if your making a list of possible candidates
