Voice Chat Toggle Key [Deprecated for TTT2]

Description
Deprecation Notice for TTT2
TTT2 now has this functionality built-in under Gameplay > Voice & Volume.
You should therefore remove this addon if you're using TTT2.
As of November 2024, TTT2 doesn't yet have an option for hiding voice panels but I'll work on including that sometime in the future.

Sandbox
The addon should work fine in Sandbox. You have to manually bind a key to the voice_toggle console command. The voice_toggle_hide_panels setting is ignored in sandbox.

[TTT2] Voice Chat Toggle
Adds a key binding & console command to toggle voice chat on and off so that players no longer have to use push-to-talk.
Compatible with proximity voice chat addons.

Players can change the keybinding in the TTT2 F1 settings menu (default binding is H).
The console command to do the same is voice_toggle.

Admin Settings
Admins can open the TTT2 F1 menu > Server Addons > Voice Chat Toggle to change the following settings:

ConVar
Default
Description
voice_toggle_auto_enable
0
Automatically enable voice chat for players when they join.
voice_toggle_hide_panels
0
Hide the voice panels in the top-left corner that show who else is talking.

I mean you won't get any feedback from the addon, that's normal (no UI or even any text).
Try binding the command to a key like this: bind p voice_toggle
And then see if pressing the key toggles your voice chat.

(Theoretically the gamemode you're playing could also cause be the issue, idk)

whenever i type something into the console, nothing comes up and nothing does anything whatsoever. is there anything i can do to go around that problem? :[ sorry in advance,,

Well you can type in voice_toggle to toggle your voice chat on/off.
You probably want to bind it to a key though like this for example: bind p voice_toggle
Then you can press the p button to toggle your voice chat.

Yeah it should probably work the same as in sandbox, just manually bind voice_toggle to a key.

Hello, does this work for regular TTT?
