1934 Sikorsky S-42 — Pan American Clipper

Hello my dears! We haven't seen with you for more than three years. I started building this plane back in 2021, but due to some problems in my life, I had to abandon the game completely. After 2 years, I'm happy to present you the finished version of the Sikorsky S-42!



Everything is simple and intuitive as always. But there are several features that require explanation.

Under the Starter button you will find the Change Steering Mode button. By default, the controls are the same as in all Aircrafts in Stormworks. But since I spent a lot of time in GTA and Unturned, the usual controls are awkward for me, so I decided to add a button that swaps the Arrows and WASD in places.

Enabled by default. Note that the Stabilizer will turn on automatically if you activate Altitude Hold.

When pressed, it will hold the current Altitude. You can enter a specific value into the Small Keypad on the roof. To hold the current Altitude again, enter 0.

If you forget to enter the Destination Coordinates into the Large Keypad on the roof, an Indicator will remind you of this. The Autopilot doesn't turn off automatically when the target is reached, so that the plane doesn't fly into the void while you're away.

Flashing Lights will not work if the Navigation Lights are turned off.
The Landing Lights will turn off if you climb to a decent Altitude, because they are made for Landing. While on the ground (or water?), the Landing Lights can be switched to the Searchight, which is controlled by the mouse.

Since not all rooms are airtight, I had to close some doors while the plane is on the water so it couldn't get inside. Please, enter the Cabin from the Boarding Door located at the back. When you take off, all the doors will be locked. If necessary, the doors can be unlocked with a Emergency Door Unlock button.



Since the plane is designed to spawn in the Ship's Dock, I had to clip its wings. As long as they are folded, you will not be able to take off. Keep moving forward until you have enough place to Unfold.

If there is a Fire in the Engine Compartment, you will be notified by an Alarm. You can extinguish the Fire with one button, depending on which Engine caught fire. To refill Extinguishers, land the Plane on the water and turn on the Pumps.
