LORE:
May 16, 200-, The Black Mesa Incident occurs at the Black Mesa Research Facility at an undisclosed location in New Mexico. You are a Maintenance Worker that is nearing the end of their journey to escape the BMRF's smaller neighboring site (As seen in Surface Tension). You must narrowly escape the facility before it is hit by airstrikes from the military. (This level takes place shortly before Surface Tension).
