Flat Water Mod

Description
Replaces the default fancy water effects shader with a flat shader so your graphics card does less work, good for low end systems. Setting draw_water=no looks pretty bad, so this some flat water.

This is purely a graphical mod, so it will work in multiplayer and iron man without causing checksum issues.

Useful when combined with options in the Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\settings.txt file like

mapRenderingOptions=
{
draw_terrain=yes
draw_water=yes
draw_borders=yes
draw_trees=no
draw_rivers=yes
draw_postfx=no
draw_sky=no
draw_bloom=no
draw_tooltips=yes
draw_hires_terrain=no
draw_citysprawl=no
}
low_res_textures=yes

You could also try

force_pow2_textures=yes

but this might break character portraits.

Oh yeah it indeed does, sorry. Just that the first few times I started the game it didn't work even when enabled. Even had to reinstall the version. Works wonders now! Thanks for the great mod

Which version does this work with?

There seems to be an issue with zooming in and out. The water textures around coasts and rivers are a bit unstable..? The gradual change from big boxes to small ones are a bit...noticeable, and too sudden. Is it just me?
