Mameluke Assault-Skimmer

The Mameluke Assault-Skimmer is the mainline MBT equivalent of most modern militaries you'd find on the battlefield, however, this craft dwarfs them all outright-- it does so both in cost AND size, that is. It is heavily armored from the front, but rather weak to flanking attacks, with most of its mechanical heart being housed in the rear, however, with its two large, heavy and strong plasma cannons mounted in the fore of the craft, it can pack a mighty punch. --Both on the field and in your wallet.

Notably, it can also maintain meaningful flight even under extremely heavy fire, with it being seen and regularly noted, that it can maintain movement even as low as 60% overall HP. This however of course, comes with the lack of ability to usually bring its main guns to bear, but it does present the opportunity of retreat or rather forming back with ranks and receiving repair support. It is also extremely important to note that while most of the craft which will be exposed to the enemy is very well armored, most of the ammo is located in a singular point, near the bottom of the main and central hover-pods. A well placed shot from above, below or a lucky penetration when the craft is making swift maneuvers can cause the entire ship to be brought down.
