MI 09 Pack

The MI 09 (interconnection equipment ordered in 2009) is a two-level self-propelled X'Trapolis Duplex type rolling stock that the Régie autonome des transports parisiens (RATP) ordered in 2009 to replace the MI 84 on line A of the Île-de-France regional express network (RER). The first pre-series trainset was delivered at the end of 2010 for a test campaign; the commercial entry into service of the new equipment, scheduled for autumn 2011, took place on December 5, 2011 at La Défense, in the presence of Nicolas Sarkozy.
This equipment replaced, on line A, the MS 61 equipment whose last circulation took place on April 16, 2016 and the MI 84 which no longer circulate on the line since February 24, 2017.
On March 30, 2017, the Alstom factory in Valenciennes (Petite-Forêt) celebrates the 140th and last MI 09 trainset leaving this site.
