This guide will show you how to play CS:GO even after the Change to CS2. It's not entirely gone as most people have stated.

NOTE: Valve has confirmed that MacOS will not be supported for CS2 due to low market share for people using the OS compared to Windows and Linux and are eligible for a refund until December 1st, 2023. https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/73EF-08A3-0935-6369

In your Steam library, right click Counter Strike 2, click Properties, click the Beta tab, and select "csgo_legacy - Legacy version of CS:GO" from the drop-down shown here.

Step 2

Once it finishes downloading, you will be prompted to select between CS2 and CS:GO when launching the game.

Step 3

There you have it! See, it was never gone! Keep in mind this is not for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matches.

Already out of date, unfortunately. But they replaced the csgo_demo_viewer with a csgo_legacy version in the beta menu.

idk why mac gamers exist anyways if ur paying for over priced mid spec hardware just buy a pre built loonix or windows machine with better specs for the same price

@Andii Im pretty sure they’ll update it for mac at some point. It just released afterall.
