If you wonder how these Cims where created:
In the beginning there was the Sims4 :tm: character editor, as this one allows to change body and faces in the most customizeable way. Many of these characters wearing costum clothes provided by different websites for free. After each creation got exported, the mesh of each single got optimized by removing unneeded details (e.g. tounge, teeth and eye balls) and reducing the tris massively. Additionally each texture got manually changed and optimized to match to the completely different values needed for C:S citizens. Afterwards the normal binding of the mesh to the Cims skeleton where done. As these Cims are based on another companies software, and their TOS only allows the non commercial usage, i decided to not have any donation link on these assets. Forthermore the sharing or upload on any other Platform nor selling or creating reskins of them is allowed.

Sims 4 is a registred brand of Electronic Arts. I'm not in any relation with EA, nor these skins are affiliated by EA.

So you don't need a vehicle definition. Only the effect definition. Xml and the Mod Custom effect loader must be activated.

they are for props. they are basically very small cubes that emit blinking light, there are around 8 of them. I didnt upload them because naturally I'd like to see if they are going to work before uploading it :,)

@ApollonDriver did you get it working or still you need help for your lights? Are these lights for a vehicle or a prop? If you have different light effects for one upload in the workshop you should use only 1 effect definition xml file.

I LOVE your animated cims and have used them to create some really interesting scenarios. I would love to commission someone with your talents to create some animated Disc Golfers. Making a putt or throwing a drive. I've used some of your cims to make these scenarios already but they are static

Well yes I also followed this, actually took Dying's xml file from one of his assets and changed the names to be unique. It worked in the editor, I wasn't able to change the position but I'm assuming that's something that is done with the second xml file, VehicleEffectsDefinition. Anyways, I was able to get it working in the editor, effect was seen in the list and was working properly.

Then I saved it, generated the crp file and opened the game. However in the game, there is just no light. Do you think that it's maybe because in local files, I have the crp of the light cube prop but not the xml file? I didn't place it there, because if I place it there, then I can't have any other xml files in the local Assets folder, since you can't have two files with the same name in a folder. But I have, like, 8 props, each with different xml files. Or should I create one xml file and write each effect in it one by one, like a collective xml file for all of my custom effects?

very unnecessary, but somehow beautiful. Great work! Sven, I've been working on some custom blinking light props to use in various scenes, but I just failed after many attempts. Effects work in the editor, but when you try the props ingame, they just don't light up. Do you think you could give it a shot, with all your animated stuff experience? Or any tips/tricks for me to get them working?
