Warden Point Gun Battery

Description
The Warden Point gun battery is an abandoned gun battery, pillbox and bunker located in Warden on the Isle of Sheppey, in south east England.

The gun battery was built between 1914 and 1916, and was then used for WWI and WWII before being decommissioned and abandoned. Later, due to the severe coastal erosion in the area, at some point between 1976 and 1979 landslides caused the gun battery to slide down the cliff, eventually ending up on the beach.

Chain home low is an early warning radar system developed during WWII to detect lower flying aircraft than the original chain home radar. The room that I have created here is the generator room from the installation now present on Warden beach. I had to estimate the entrance stairs a bit as they're largely destroyed.

This is a recreation of that gun battery, a not perfect but fair representation of the structure as it might have looked before falling off of the cliff. Although I have made this as accurate as humanly possible, I can only account for things that still exist on the structure and have therefore have only been able to offer a pre-destruction version of what the gun battery might look like today. This is not also a replication of the area the bunker once stood, just of the bunker itself.

I have given the map a big overhaul to make it closer to the original structure. Please continue to report any errors found.

Hi folks

I realised there were a few misaligned textures I overlooked, which should now be fixed but if anyone does spot any more, please do let me know.

I don't have the mapping expertise to do that myself, but anyone who might is quite welcome to use the VMF and port it.

put 3 friendly Marines in and it would probably work really well for zombies

this could probably make a good survival map ngl
