Acacia [Modernised] MSSY

Description
Moon-Shadow Submarine Yards proudly presents a modernized version of the favorite classic Acacia Submarine by Raven Shipyards. Other used licensed integrated systems are the Relic Drone and the General Periscope Navigation Circuit Systems.

The Acacia apparently came at a time when the Steering Systems for Submarines of this size were still connected to the Shuttle Controls. MSSY decided that this Submarine should be modernised, so that it can be more easily operated than by only a few Veterans on Europa.

In contrast to expectations about the weak armaments of Scout Submarines, the R-12 "Acacia" can cause a lot of trouble for any opponent, thanks to it's extremely powerful Pulse Laser Cannon. The Trump card of this boat though is its silent engine with the added Boost Drive.

Other notable Features for this affordable classic include an additional free Gun Slot and a Decoy Launcher, for those Captains who want that extra special Oomph in Combat Situations!

Our Engineer also like to note, that they are very happy that we got an official license to produce replicas of the Relic drone, so that we could equip some of these Submarines with it. Unfortunately, it still can't mine ore with its Alien Laser Beam, but it's a great addition for exploring caves and removing dangers all around.

A few Variations were created so that it is better suited for several tasks. The storage area in the second and third version has been changed to include a Crate Loading System for 12 crates, the Medicine Cabinet has been visually changed and moved, and there is also a Poison Cabinet.

More detailed Documentations for the Operation of the Submarine are available in Russian and English in the Main Storage area, inside an orange case.

Features
Originally known for an additional free Gun Slot, an Emergency Battery-Power System, a unique Pulse Laser only needing Energy, one Electic Plate, a Decoy Launcher, silent Main Engines and Short Burst Boost Drive. It also came already with small drainable Ballast Tanks and a Flamer to deal with the nasty Flora that infect the Ballast Tanks in the later Areas.

First and foremost we fixed something we thought Captains annoyed the most:
The Oxygen Canisters below the Diving Suits now automatically recharge! Eureka!
Then we added some completely new features to modernize this old reliable:

The [BNS] is an old system known as the "Better Navigation System", originally developed in parallel to the standard NAVigation TERMinal systems. It's not the newest but better functioning for these Submarines, and this version also includes some other important refinements.

The [WS] or Workshop System is just a Fabricator and Deconstructor with attached Storage.

Lastly, the [Drone] itself is great for exploring caves and defense duty, and comes equipped with with an Alien Laser and Discharge Coil. Sadly the laser is still not able to mine ore. Meanwhile the General Periscope Navigation Circuit System allows for direct control of the Relic Drone.

More Details
The original shuttle control is removed and everything is available at the NAVigation TERMinal, except the Emergency Battery-Power System, which is a dedicated button right below it. Remember though, that there is a short power outtage when the EBS is switched off again.

We found a single Electric Plate to be lacking, so we added another to the bottom of the hull in addition to the one up top. Both are triggered in tandem at the NAVTERM, so you still have only 2 charges. Also both are now connected to a new and added left Super Capacitator. While they only work at half the strength, size and range they still use the same amount of power.

The Main Storage Area was decluttered a bit and some Contents where removed in subsequent versions, to compensate for the same pricing and additional space. We rearranged the Crew Quarters and even removed them in later iterations with the Workshop System, while changing or moving the Contents of the Containers. The WS has dedicated and connected Storage Cabinets above both parts of the System, visibly hidden but usable behind deco.

Because the Workshop System can require quite a bit of Energy, we also added a Button above it to reduce the Power Drain. While the System defaults to Off, remember that the State of the Button is saved between Sorties. A Battery that always charges was added that only powers the WS and the Relic Drone & Control System.

While the RDCS itself consumes no energy and the Drone has its own self-sustaining power source, it still needs to be connected to the power grid to have a working Drone Sonar System. The DSS will slowly deplete the available energy of the Drone, so better use it only in short bursts, especially if you are planing to fight with it.

An independent Ore Sonar Upgrade was also integrated to the Drone, so the Submarine itself doesn't have to need one. Sadly our Engineers still have not found a way to make the Alien Laser able to mine ore, so you still need to get out there yourself.

Usage
Survey Periscope and Drone Controls: Use the periscope to operate, hold down LMB to move, release will automatically hover, double-click LMB to switch mode, red lights up after accessing the weapon control, you can fire the laser all direction (in actual game ray may be stuck in 0 °, only a visual bug, try to rotate the collimator in the opposite direction to fix), double-click LMB again to switch back to navigation mode.

Airlocks require a water drain (pressure equalization) until the process is complete, the internal hatches are closed. The process is accompanied by a blinking orange light. Locking does not occur if the adjacent compartment is flooded.

ATTENTION
The lower Airlock should only be used as a fast entrance and for docking at Beacons. Depending on the amount of Crew and Passengers, using it as an exit can lead to it constantly opening and pumping water in and out.

An important Note for the [Drone] Version: Depending on the Beacon size it may be necessary to undock the Drone beforehand. If that's the case, better park it on top of the Submarine because it sinks over time.

DANGER
Do not swim between the Drone docking bay and the Drone itself!
Do not dock the Drone in the Airlocks, it can glitch into the structure of the Submarine!

Note that the additional ingame Documention is only describing the Original Version yet.
The poems/lyrics on the labels of the Acacia are not translated, because they are too complex for a straight translation. If you are interested in their meaning, they are from the works of Orgia Pravednikov (Russian: Оргия Праведников, lit. 'Orgy of The Righteous'), a Russian rock group.

Glad to see it modernized! Would be sad to let it be forgotten
