1/ I won’t include inconsequential decisions in this guide (personalities will affect sometimes, but it’s only for flavor most of the time). If you don’t see my choice in the list of choices, it means that list has inconsequential choices.

3/ I’ll use a blank line to separate between choices.

Roy: Try to talk to some of the other junior officers and get some advice.
Wul: Observe the men training outside. I might be able to pick up some pointers..

Try to offer some excuse explaining my lateness.

Aetoria, the capital city, a centre of culture and education.
- Personal stats is definitely the most important thing in the series, so this choice is naturally the best, even for wul.

Age 25
Wul (optional): Age 18
- You will be at a great disadvantage if you choose age 14, I don’t recommend it. You can still choose 18 or 14, of course, but the character won’t be optimal then. If you choose 18, I recommend going for option “Try to talk to some of the other junior officers and get some advice.” at the beginning. 65 cha is an important threshold in several instances.
- You’ll miss out on deadbolt suggestion to Garing later on for Roy if you choose 18. Note that my choices are intended for 25 years old Roy. For Wul, 18 is perfectly fine and can choose my options.

A set of books on philosophy and the natural sciences.
-This gift will result in +15 stat in the end instead of +10 for the sword and uniform

"Cornet {name}, at your service."
-Being friendly with caz now is more important than els, we can befriend that guy later.

Ask Cazarosta about himself.

This regimen is impossible! I am barely surviving!
-Caz to the rescue!

I do all right, but academics have never been my strong suit.
-Alternatively, you can choose to be an academic genius and chose the uniform as gift back then. This will also work, but you’ll have less stats to work with and miss out on several 60 charisma checks in Goi (Guns of Infinity).

I have already become friends with many of my fellow officers.

Practice sparring and marksmanship with Cazarosta.

Stay behind: I must to try to help Elson.

I brush up on my knowledge of the League of Antar.

Take command! We should not leave the conduct of the battle to a mere sergeant!
-This is first reason why you should befriend caz.The second will be in Guns.

I hold up the boarding party and try to figure out what it is.

Be cautious: We can hold midships and force the Antari to come to us.

I select a sergeant and assemble my unit first.
-Buying horse first means missing out on Lanzerel, IMO the best sgt. Make sure he survives the war.

Decide that none of these men will do. Lanzerel is still unassigned, might I request him instead?

Requisition a horse from the official stables.->Name it “none”.
Roy (Optional): Buy a horse from a merchant with my own funds. -> Buy Thunderer.
-This is kinda exploiting the game a bit, but it allows you to have the second-best horse in the game. If you buy Thunderer now, you will lose 10 health later so I don’t recommend it. For Roy, buying Thunderer will give you 90+ rep in the end in exchange for 10 health, but I think this is not worth it.

Drill my men relentlessly.

Damn the horses! Ride at full speed!

Try a more efficient pattern, and pocket the remaining seals to sell later.

Choose all 3 available choices

"Mount up! We're going to charge the enemy!"

Generously: I split the money between my men, leaving none for myself.

Roy: Return to patrol duty.
-Wul can skip this part until you see the “//”
I pick the Western route. More arduous duty will keep the men in fighting trim.

Approach them: Ask what they are talking about.->Try to convince them.

Tell them that I am under Lefebvre's orders to offer them assistance.

Find the others.

Escort them back as guests.

Keep quiet.
-Lef is our ally in Loi (enemy of Wul character though). You should have less than 65 ideal to get the 100$ bribe. You can instead choose like Wul, but you will lose 10 lef opinion in Loi which you will need later.

Request cavalry reserve duty.

Extra shot and powder, for a protracted fight.

To be prepared for anything.

That this moron will shortly get all of his men killed. He must be dealt with.
-> "Lieutenant Carrecort, you are a disgrace to His Majesty's Army. Since you seem so uneager to save your men, I shall have to do it for you. I am assuming command."
-> I am a better leader.

Try a frontal assault.

Roy: Carrecort is an incompetent and a disgrace. I would much like to see his career in tatters.
Wul: Carrecort made a single bad decision; that doesn't make him incompetent.
- Carrecort house sides with Wulfram. It is inconsequential in Loi, but it might be relevant in later works.

Send a man with 80 crowns to Noringia to buy a fine horse.
- By naming your horse “none” back then, the game will think your horse is dead, so you can buy a better horse and you now have enough soldiering stats to ride on. Not available if you bought Thunderer.

Keep the weapon for myself.

Hone my body and mind at the Training Grounds.
- You need 55 sol for the final stat check in Guns (capture Princess Khorobirit) which is worth 2500$, so this one is worth it.

I pick the men from my old patrol.

The men need discipline above all else. I drill them until they faint!

If the army refuses to house my men properly, I shall have to rent better for them myself.

Wul: Hang the man, examples must be made.
-Roy won’t have this choice

"My men stand as ready as they'll ever be. They won't disappoint you."

Roy: Eat with Cazarosta.->I stick to small talk.
Wul (Optional): I eat with my men.
- Wul can choose like Roy if you like the 4 additional sol stats. But from what I’ve checked, there aren’t any 60 sol stat check in Guns and Lords.

Actually, I've got a plan of my own I'd rather we use.

"I would have Cazarosta do it."

"I think you should do it sir."

Take the Antari commander captive for ransom. Allow the rest to leave.

I reassure Elson that our recent victory will make our uniforms recognizable enough.

Take a look.->If only we allowed our women to fight alongside us! Not only would it allow us to replace lost soldiers faster, but it would allow Tierra to field a larger army.
- You don’t wanna be a sexist, do you?

Name, rank, regiment, titles, decorations: everything. I want to make as big an impression as possible.
- If you messed up and don’t have 55 rep, don’t choose this option.

Join Hunter and Hartigan in their conversation.->Claim the Antari light cavalry are the most dangerous.

Speak with Cazarosta. ->"Perhaps you are right. I will seek company elsewhere."

"Absolutely sir, I am confident in our chances of victory."
- Long skip ahead.

Try to cheer him up

Elson is right, if we win against Hussars, our glorious deeds will stand forever!

"Can we still win this battle?"

Volunteer to guard the castle with Cazarosta. My skills are of more use here than in the field.
- You can go with Elson, but you’ll miss out on the potential +15 loy and +15 mor bonus, as well as +6 caz opnion, AND you risk killing your sgt, so I don’t recommend it.

I make an attempt to persuade Cazarosta to allow me to retain command of my men.

Convince Wittelbrook of the dire consequences of his proposed actions.
- In case your int is not 60, choose “Wittelbrook is a lost cause, I speak to his men instead.”

Block the passage between the two castle towers with Cazarosta's men reinforcing my own. I could use the help.
->Rally the men with a speech; they will fight better if their spirits are high.
- Make sure either your mor or loy is less than 60 by this point, which you should be by following my guide.

Roy: I'll convince them that we will come through this challenge, as we have come through so many others.
Wul: I'll remind the men of their duty as soldiers of the King.

I cannot leave, but I can allow my men to. I shall let every one not willing to fight to the death escape with their lives.
-> Be clever: Find a way to unhorse the Hussar and gut him before he can recover.
- And we are done. Enjoy the epilogue.

Important threshold:

1/ 80/90 rep will result in 45/50 rep in Guns, respectively.

2/ 45/65/85 dis/mor/loy will result in 30/35/45 in Guns.

3/ Excess values like 50 or 60 loyalty are wasted, so don’t make redundant choices.
If my guide don’t net you 80+ rep, as well as 45(65 if Wul)/65/85 values for the army stats then I must have done something wrong (80 loy for wul if you eat with caz instead of your men). Please comment if this is the case.

4/ Wul will get 5 extra discipline at the start in Guns, but Roy has other advantages, so don’t worry. Keep in mind that we’re going for 2 entirely separate playthroughs.

5/ You can of course side with Wulfram as an Aetorian, though my guess is that it is a dangerous choice. But hey, high risk high reward, am I right?

6/ Lanzerel should survive here. It is imperative that he does. If you go with Elson in the final battle it is very likely that he'll die.

7/ There are many minor variations to my choice (first choice of the game, buy Thunderer or not, each with Caz or Els or your men, etc.), you may choose whichever you think is the best.
