Character level - 3

We need a Level 3 Warrior with a Battle Master subclass

In abilities choose Disarming Attack

Potion or Scroll of Invisibility - 2

Gold - 400
Githyanki Patrol
The Legendary Sword belongs to Kith'rak Voss

Divide the group and go to the NPC alone

Use invisibility and get close to him

Use the Disarm skill on Kith'rak Voss ( you may need a few tries before you can disarm him, so use quick save )
After you disarm Kith'rak Voss
Will begin cutscene after which ( no matter what you choose ) patrol will attack you

Just for this case, we have a second potion or a scroll of invisibility

Take another character and go pick up the Sword

After you pick up the Sword , your second character will also (most likely) be killed

Then, as a living third character, we return to the camp and ask the undead to resurrect the fallen comrades (for 400 gold)

The name of the sword remind me of the sword we build during the campaign in Neverwinter night 2

You can also have a druid drink an invis potion and use heat metal.

And yes it's meant for later but if you're like me and played through the game like 5 times, you deserve the treat ;D

So nobody can tell me what happens in Act 3 if you get this sword in Act 1? Does any quest break? Also, can you get it again as an Act 3 reward?

@2Scoops There is at least one other, and you can get it in the prologue legitimately, without exploiting or spoiling/breaking any future quests or NPC relations. The named Cambion NPC (commander something) at the nautiloid, can easily be killed for his very powerful fire sword.

Its a more balanced sword but still really powerful, it still trivialises a lot of the early game.
If you need any item more powerful than that, you might as well be playing in low difficulty setting, and speedrun the game with your starter equipment

To be more clear, I commanded him to drop the sword, had an invisible character come in and get it. They killed shadowheart. I went to camp and resurrected her. But no cutscene and they are trying to get involved in other combats

Not sure how I blew it, but I never got a cut scene and they are immediately hostile. I figured I go around, got into a combat VERY far away on the map, and the game kept cutting to them. Maybe because I didn't have Laz in my group?

People mention this sword is meant for later, but when you see Voss after the creche he has a longsword, which is neat too but different. Not sure when/if he has this weapon later. Also this is like the 3rd best 2HS, not the best, fun for a Gith but you'll replace it in act 3.

He literally dropped a githyanki crossbow instead the last time i tried that after patch 1
