When you have a treasure map, get a locator to decipher it and make your life easy. I've never tried to figure out a treasure map without a locator and not even sure if it's possible.


Here you can see I have the locator already. If you have never created one, you use "locator components" and crafted them to make a locator. This is what the locator looks like. Use it and it will reveal a location.



It gave me a location that was in Koller Mines. Sometimes you will have to figure out where it is. It's pretty simple, for PC, just hit "m" and a map will open. Look to the right and it will have various locations. Find the one that best describes the area listed. It's not always 100% accurate in naming, so choose the one that is most describes the location given. Then, travel there.



I do recommend finding all the locations on maps before doing maps.

Once near your location you will see a red, yellow, or green highlight. This means you are near enough to start your search. Follow the direction it's giving you.




Once you get close enough, you'll see it turns green and also you will hear a tone as well. You'll see the Star and this is like 'X marks the spot'. Go to it!



As you can see, it tells you to dig. I have not tried this without having a pickaxe equipped. I do know that when I dig, it's not my pick axe displayed as I am digging. At least, not the one I have equipped.

Once you have dug up the supplies, can can collect them and move on.

There are times when you wake the undead while digging. Be prepared to fight! Fight for your life so you can collect your shiny goods.

I wanted to create this guide, because games rarely have cool side games that people can enjoy. I have been gaming my whole life and MMORPGs have been my love since Ultima Online. Games today rarely capture the adventure I felt in that ancient game and part of the love I had for that game were all the hidden gems like treasure hunting, message in a bottle adventures, and hunting for rare items you could display in your home. It was amazing and I am excited that this game is bringing back some of that love I lost.

Now all we need is some form of taming creatures.
