What this mod does

When this mod is loaded with Modular Encounters Systems, it will overwrite some of the default configurations (or previously user set configurations) with new values that aim to increase spawning activity overall.

This is done by decreasing times between spawns, disabling the 'timeout' system, disabling the 'combat phase' system, allowing atmospheric ships to spawn while the aerodynamics mod is enabled, and adding a massive point modifier to all threat scores.


What this mod DOESN'T do

This mod will not throw out all spawning rules that various encounters use. It only turns off elements at the admin / config level that can limit spawning from happening.

An example of this would be with the Reavers mod. Reavers use a sort of "dice roll" to determine if they're allowed to spawn on planets (the intention with that mod is that planetary spawns are supposed to be rare). This is not something that can be manipulated from the Config options in the world, so these rules would remain in place. However, because of the threat score changes the mod makes, it's possible to get Reaver encounters much earlier in your playthrough


The part where I provide various warnings and cautions

  • Before adding this mod to a world, I strongly recommend making a backup save prior - just in case you find it to be overwhelming.
  • This mod causes some balancing aspects to be thrown out the window entirely. For example, the Threat Score modification can cause more aggressive encounters to appear much earlier for players just starting a world.
  • This mod can also cause unexpected behavior with some encounters. One example is atmospheric spawns appearing with the Aerodynamics mod enabled. While some encounters can overcome the advanced physics using gyroscopic compensation, others may not be able to.
  • Using this mod on a mid to high population server could cause issues with Sim Speed as a result of the high number of grid spawns it enables. It could also do the same in a single player world as well.


Config Warning

Because this mod overwrites values in the Config files directly, the effects of this mod will still be present even after it is removed. To revert back to the default MES Config values, first ensure that this mod is removed from the world, then use the following Chat Command while In-Game:
/MES.Settings.ResetAll

Used this with Tyranid that was a mistake LOL especially when you trigger an event then this thing spawns waves at you LOL

which server already uses the mod i would like to have a look, but i would have to have a ship, not that i start from the beginning normally. my test ship is the space wagon, which can be found in the workshop. I'd be happy if someone reports

This is great! Sitting back and watching 3 NPC factions wage war on each other. Then I go in and clean up the scrap.
