[JDS] Castle Walls Electric Defense

Subscribe to [JDS] Castle Walls Expanded instead!





Gives defense towers in the [JDS] Castle Walls mod a power requirement equal to that of a mini-turret.

It shoots automatically so it makes sense to be using electricity, and it's very balanced when also removing the steel refuel requirement.

WARNING: This mod does NOT remove the steel refuel requirement. If you only add this mod, you will have BOTH a steel refuel AND an electricity requirement. Add my [JDS] Castle Walls No Refuel mod to fix this.


EXAMPLE LOAD ORDER (just use Rimpy):
[JDS] Castle Walls (REQUIRED)
Castle Wall Embrasure Corner (optional)
[JDS] Castle Walls -75% OFF (Continued) (optional)
[JDS] Castle Walls No Refuel (RECOMMENDED)
[JDS] Castle Walls Electric Defense

Ah yes, the medieval castle towers shoot automatically, unmanned and without electricity. Makes sense...

Obviously this mod isn't viable for medieval-only playthroughs, which is why I made all my patches so modular.

But as someone doing a crazy Zombieland playthrough with castle walls in modern times, it needed to happen. The steel upkeep with constant zombie attacks was simply unbearable, I had to reload 100+ steel per tower every 10 seconds. Without any alternative requirement it became too overpowered, and thus the Electric Defense patch was born. Think of it as if you've placed a mini-turret inside the tower. :)
