In order to use the mod, it will copy a freetype6.dll file to the user's computer, which is necessary. If you lack this file, you will not be able to use any functions of this mod

This file is completely safe, if you don't believe the file I provided, you can download this file from the FreeType official website[www.freetype.org], and then put it in %SteamInstallationFolder%\Steam\steamapps\common\tModLoader\Libraries\Native\Windows\ folder. Or just don't use the mod

如果有人加载时显示错误，并且之前可以使用的话。可以尝试删除freetype6.dll 文件。删除后重新启用，它会重新生成一份freetype6.dll。然后就可以正常加载了（只需要重新加载，不需要取消订阅）If someone encounters an error when loading and it was previously working, can try delete the freetype6.dll file. After deleting it, re-enable it, and it will regenerate a new freetype6.dll. Then, loading will work normally (just need to reload, no need to unsubscribe)

If you're running on tModLoader v6.3.0, when you make changes to the FontLoader config, try clicking on the "Save Config" button at the bottom of the screen before clicking the "Back" button.
When the game reloads, it should be using the new settings. I'm having no problem changing fonts on the latest version.

I can confirm , Darkside's fix works. just slap it in your mods folder and it's good to go, so long as you delete the workshop version

For everyone with the crash issue: I fixed the mod (though I'm not sure whether it'll work on macOS/Linux). You can download the fixed version from my github: https://github.com/DarksideAlex/FontLoader/
