SHOOT BANG 2 - Campaign Map Pack

Description
SHOOT BANG 2 has been tested and should be played in the "x86-64 - Chromium + 64-bit Binaries" branch!

Counter Strike: Source and Half Life 2: Episode 2 are REQUIRED for SHOOT BANG 2 to function properly!

SHOOT BANG 2 is a Single Player expansion pack. Playing it in Multiplayer will lead to instability and major issues.



Get ready for one of the biggest and most unique expansion packs to ever come to Garry's Mod! After 2 years in development, SHOOT BANG is back! It's time for Chad Chinlong to put on his size 45 steel-toe boots again and start kicking ass!

SHOOT BANG 2 is the sequel to the popular action-parody map pack, SHOOT BANG 1. Continue the epic story of Chad Chinlong as he's forced out of his comfortable hotel room to deal with a formidable evil corporation full of bad guys, in this explosive, better than ever expansion pack.

SHOOT BANG 2 also includes SHOOT BANG 1: Remastered, an updated version of the original SHOOT BANG map pack. SHOOT BANG I: Remastered features brand new additions backported from SHOOT BANG 2, an entirely new and made from scratch Final Level and additional improvements to bring the original release more up to SHOOT BANG 2's standard.

The entire experience is comprised of 16 levels that offer around 3-4 hours of playtime.



Features (SHOOT BANG 2):
  • Chad Chinlong's even bigger biceps, and Manos Itchi's cool sunglasses.

  • A high quality, over the top, 2-3 hours long Single Player campaign inspired by Metal Slug and Metal Gear Solid. Takes place in 2022, 2 years after the events of SHOOT BANG 1.

  • A gripping storyline with a well written and very complex villain which is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat (probably).

  • Plenty of bad guys to shoot in a variety of ways, in a variety of locations.

  • No Music Versions of all the campaign maps.

  • Sandbox Versions of all the campaign maps.

  • Maps are split in their appropriate category in the main menu.

  • Unique gameplay enhancing characteristics (Destructible Cover, Exploding Cars, etc.)

  • Voice acting.

  • Custom background music from Metal Slug and Metal Gear Solid.

  • Nods, References and Easter Eggs.


Features (SHOOT BANG 1: Remastered):
  • Chad Chinlong's updated massive biceps.

  • The original campaign, expanded and enhanced with additions, fixes and features backported from SHOOT BANG 2.

  • A completely new, made from scratch Final Level as the original final level was done quick in a rush back in 2021, and it was very underwhelming.

  • A restored cut intro level.

  • No Music Versions of all the campaign maps.

  • Sandbox Versions of all the campaign maps.

  • Maps are split in their appropriate category in the main menu.

Disclaimers:
  • The original Shoot Bang 1 addon has been hidden as it is outdated and there is no reason to play it over the remastered version.

  • All campaign maps have been designed to be compatible with as many mods as possible. However, modding your game too much with specific gameplay-altering mods WILL break aspects with the maps.

  • For the best performance, it is recommended to play the maps in the x86-64 Chromium branch. SHOOT BANG 2 maps are slightly more demanding than SHOOT BANG 1 maps so having a decent PC also helps.

  • Every map in SHOOT BANG has been designed with Single Player in mind. Playing these maps in Multiplayer will lead to inconsistencies and issues.

  • Half Life 2: Episode 2 and Counter Strike: Source are required and need to be mounted for SHOOT BANG 2 to function correctly.

  • While we tested SHOOT BANG 2 over and over and over to make sure it has no issues, should you come across any issues that we might have overlooked, please report it in the comments with details.

  • We've concluded Chad Chinlong's story with SHOOT BANG 2 and there won't be a third game, at least in the Source Engine. Both me and Coffee Man are moving our game development endeavors into another, more stable game engine, such as Unreal Engine. As good as Source Engine is, we struggled a lot to finish SHOOT BANG 2 and the engine itself is way too outdated with a ton of issues. Our next game is planned to be a Survival Horror experience and will hopefully be released on Steam...

Went through the remaster of shoot bang 1 with this and haven't tried the entirety of shoot bang 2 yet but I'll give me me early opinions anyway
Shoot bang 1 is cathartic. Ultrakill arms mod with the knuckleblaster just punching through a wall and mowing a soldier down with an arc9 p90 is the level of comical violence I did NOT expect and loved. The whole thing makes me feel like rambo and its amazing.
Overall, great job on the remaster of shoot bang 1!
