I get it was the first mod made by the creator. And yes, overall we had fun, but man. Made me want to rip my hair out by the end of the campaign.
> Absolute jank
Yeah. Was my first mod I ever made with the tools and existed solely to act as a replacement for a mod that no longer even appears on the workshop. I dunno where the other 7,757 players/subscribers came from, but I'm happy they stick around. They keep me on the second page of most subscribed, lol.
Can't jump as high as Chief, can't run as fast as Chief, maximum grenade throwing range is about 15 feet, can't detach turrets, can't use melee weapons (the one saving grace here is that the ODST's melee attack seems to be about as powerful as Chief's melee), can't use armor abilities, can't aim on any weapon that has an aiming ability (essentially making most precision weapons basically worthless). I'm also pretty sure we have as much health as a regular marine, too, but those guys are decently tanky anyway - at least on lower difficulties - so that's not the end of the world.
I haven't even gotten to the Flood missions yet (and, generally, dread them because infection forms oneshot marines). This mod is absolute jank, but I'm kind of enjoying it. At the very least, having less health than Chief but also being semi-forced into a CQC playstyle (thanks to zoom not working) has made the missions seem longer than they actually are.
