Halo 3 Early/Cut Maps

This is a collection of all the early/cut maps for Halo 3.

These maps are found within the Halo 3: ODST Editing Kit, most of the maps listed here were being worked on around the time that ODST was forked from Halo 3. There were 2 other maps "beavercreek" and "sanctuary" which I did not include as they are missing shaders and are just straight up reimports from Halo 2 with no spawns, weapons, vehicles whatever setup.

Anxiety is a map from Custom Edition made by "Mrs Double Fire" who did contract work for Bungie around the time of Halo 3's development.

Beachhead is a cut DLC map from Halo 3 and was later repurposed for the Halo: Reach map "Tempest"

Cold Storange is a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved's "Chill Out", this version of Cold Storage is in-development at this stage.

Damn is a cut DLC map set on the Dam of the campaign mission "Siera 117" but at night time.

This version of "Assembly" is in-development at this stage, many shaders still have that "flood" look to them as seen in Cortana and it's missing a few exclusive shaders made specifically for this map

Desecration is a cut DLC map set on High Charity(?), it is focused on vertical level design and features Covenant and Flood designs

This version of "Longshore" is in-development at this stage, many details are missing but the main level design seems to be complete.

This version of "Citadel" is in-development at this stage, it was originally going to be a BTB map where you could call down elevators as seen in the campaign mission "The Covenant". It features 2 similar looking sides with color differences

Landslide is a cut base map set on The Ark, it features 3 bases similar to the ones seen on "Valhalla". The map itself is quite open and seems to be focused on MultI BTB & vehicle play

This version of "Heretic" is in-development at this stage, it was originally going to take place on a crashed covenant cruiser inside of High Charity. Flood tentacles and blisters can be seen scattered throughout the map.

This version of "Sandbox" is in-development at this stage, it's similar looking to sandtrap and has a small but empty underground section. Multiple "in development" forge objects can be seen placed in the center of the map.

Warthog Inc is a cut base map, it's focused on the Territories gametype. The map is set in a location where the Warthog was built and tested.[www.halopedia.org]
