Description
SeaBoss Systems (SBS) JAEGER Mk.I

(FINAL VERSION FROM CREATOR - LEFT GAME)

The JAEGER is a medium sized multi-role Attack Jet based on the original STALKER. Improvements include a new engine and larger frame for greater speed and range, extendable inflight refueling probe and added functionality in the cockpit. The JAEGER hosts 10 flexible Hardpoints (8 for weapons, 2 for weapons or fuel pods) and a integrated Light AC with 400 HE Rounds. The Hardpoint System automatically polls all attached Weapons and will group them by type for firing preference. On the pull of the trigger the system has intelligence to determine the action required (ex. Rocket Pods and Cannon Pods are not launched but a fire command is passed through). With an internal fuel tank of 6400 litres it has a range of ~380km on MED throttle which can be extended with the addition of Fuel Pods.

FEATURES:
  • 10 flexible hardpoints to allow for mission customisations.
  • MAIN MFD including displays for SYS (ENG/FUEL/BAT), LDO (Load Out), MAP (Buunu's moving map with AP Info including ETA, RDR (360'), GMB (FLIR style with onscreen controls including Laser Targetting integration) and ENV (Weather).
  • Updated Flight Controller based on a heavily augmented version of the ZE Flight System including AP and Altitude Hold (AH). Two control modes are possible: Keyboard and Mouse (MS on HUD Status Bar)
  • In Flight SPEED BRAKE system which will suppress the power going to the fans allowing for quick slow downs. Think Cobra Maneuver.
  • Standard SBS Multi-band Radio System
  • HUD and RADAR with Parallax corrections
  • Ground Anchor System to secure JAEGER when parked
  • EJECTION system - Hold the eject button for 1 second and the sequence to eject the canopy followed by the seat will be initiated. The seat will auto-deploy a parachute on rocket assisted ejection.
  • RADAR Detector and Flare Countermeasures
  • Throttle preset system with 12 settings... RFT(Reverse Fast Taxi), RST(Reverse Slow Tax), IDL(Idle), STX(Slow Taxi), FTX(Fast Taxi), DSC(Descent), APR(Approach), LOW, MED, HGH, MAX, MIL(Military Power -> HIGH BURN, FAST SPEED ~750 km/hr). Throttle can also be controlled using up and down keys.
  • Ground Anchors deployable from both inside the cockpit and outside
  • Extendable Inflight Refueling Probe - Controls are on PANEL to the TOP RIGHT of the cockpit.

CONTROLS:
  • W/S - Pitch
  • A/D - Roll (active also in Mouse Mode)
  • LEFT/RIGHT - Yaw / Ground Steering
  • UP/DOWN - Manual Throttle Controls +/-
  • 1 - WEAPONS - Switch to Next Weapons
  • 2 - COUNTERMEASURES - Deploy Flare
  • 3 - MOUSE MODE On/Off (MS on Status Bar)
  • 4 - THROTTLE PRESET DOWN
  • 5 - THROTTLE PRESET UP
  • 6 - BRAKES (Holding for 3 seconds on ground will deploy Parking Brake - PB on Status Bar)

Quick Start to get you flying...
  1. On spawn you will notice that the canopy is open. There are no buttons required to open or close. If a pilot is not detected in seat the canopy will be open. As soon as you take a seat it will close.
  2. On the left front of the pilot there is an ENGINE PANEL. Turn on the switch to start the Engines. Give them about 5 seconds to spool up. NOTE: on releasing the ANCHOR and BRAKES the JAEGER has a tendency to want to turn right/slide when on the ground. Not entirely sure why as the engine outputs are balanced. It may be due to the games tendency to prioritize the left side first which may cause slightly more power to the left engine.
  3. Just above the ENGINE PANEL is a panel for controlling the GROUND ANCHORS. Click the button to turn off and retract the holding MagAlls.
  4. Hit Key 6 to release the parking brake. The 6 key also controls the variable brakes. If the 6 is pressed for about 3 seconds the parking brake will be initiated. NOTE: when brakes are active the thrust suppressor is activated eventually turning off thrust, this will happen both on the ground in the air.
  5. Hit Key 5 to cycle up through the throttle settings. On Military Power (MIL) you should be able to get airborne very quickly.
  6. To go in to mouse mode (MS on Status Bar) hit 3. Now point where you want to go and use roll to your advantage as pitching, not yawing, will give you the best turn rate.

Landing...
NOTE: the JAEGER uses a variable brake system on the back wheels for ground steering. This makes the landing gear very sturdy.
  1. Line up with runway with your throttle set to APR. APR gives you just enough power to remain level.
  2. Once you are ready to land back the throttle to DSC. This will cause the JAEGER to start descending even when you have the noise just above the horizon.
  3. On touchdown dial the throttle down as far as you want for taxing and push the nose down. Apply brake by tapping the 6 key.

CURRENT WEAPONS LOADOUT:
  • 2 x SBS UNGUIDED BOMB RACK MK.II - Registered as BMBR - Each rack has 6 bomblets. On receiving fire command both racks will release bomblet pairs in 0.5 increments. The bombs have rocket motors in order to increase range and impact speed
  • 2 x NNTC "Bobfire" Laser Missiles - Registered as LGM - Paint target with Laser on Gimbal camera. When missile has sight of laser point LOCK will show up on HUD and in the GMB camera.
  • 4 x NNTC SARDINE RADAR Missiles - Registered as RGM
