Description
The Solai are a new playable faction with emphasis on numbers, shields & endurance

other factions outgun them, outtank them or outnumber them; but their base core has a small shield, with some exceptional missiles & drones, as well as asteroids to use as protection on their ships

play smart, play carefully & you can create an armarda

this mod is great as is. super fun and cool looking. i love the names of the ships and even the design of the logo thing on the steam page. im not a modder myself but i think these changes would be fun, dont listen to me if you like it the way it is.
im enjoying ur mods quite alot im playing with all of the subfactions collection rn :)

the attack drones cost a lot of P and use a ton of energy. i think costing less or doing more damage would fix that. i suggest the latter, makes more sense for smaller ships to have a few powerful drones than many weak ones, but the description also says there's an emphasis on numbers so the second will work too. maybe both even, two types like the missles.
speaking of which theres just not much of a meaningful difference between the barrage and assault missiles. maybe assault could be bigger slower firing and moving and do more damage.
lastly the cannons are only useful against slow targets at close range. i think they could just have a bit more range to be useful against heavily shielded opponents.

and finally some thoughts on the weapons. the lasers aren't very useful. and that's fine lasers are hard to get right. i think a low damage and long range laser would play into the factions themes and be more fun. over time they can wear down opponents, and function as better point defense, both placing an emphasis on endurance.

the next biggest thing is the blocks hp values. i LOVE the usage of asteroids, such a cool idea, and the ore rich asteroids is such a cool way to do an R generating block. but there's no mechanical reason to use them. they cost more P and have less health, and on top of that you are essentially throwing out the ability to move at even medium pace. i don't totally understand why they have R storage but again, the existing R storage blocks are way better. i suggest making them at least have more hp than hull blocks. i get why a solid block of metal would be better than a space rock, but first of all iv'e always thought of hull as hollow and second it incentivises use of asteroids, which would be great because that's such a cool idea :D i also suggest lowering the hull blocks hp a bit. playing an immovable object playstyle is cool but i think the emphasis should maybe be more on shields.

i love the blocks available, The over all looks and vibes,and the weapons, missiles are my favorite and these ones are super fun. but i have some suggestions after playing for awhile

to start, the thrusters are way too slow. not a problem for smaller ships, which the faction focuses on. but if your playing the faction and want a large ship you'll be compromising on speed vs aesthetics, which sucks because this faction is really pretty. i think using a lot of P on movement and or playing a relativity slow ship is cool and fun and different, but it'd be better if there was simply larger and more expensive thrusters to save time, space, and looks. some extra expensive and possibly more sensitive thrusters for turning like some other factions have could really benefit this faction.
