Halo: Legends of Reach
Nebulous: Fleet Command Meets the Halo Universe

Welcome, Commander. Step into the strategic depths of the Halo universe. "Halo: Legends of Reach" offers you command of the legendary UNSC, URF and Covenant fleets, each full of unique ships and a distinct approach to Nebulous combat while still remaining generally compatible with vanilla and vanilla-balanced mods.

  • Command specialized fleets from the UNSC, URF, or the Covenant, each with their own gameplay style.
  • Devastating Firepower: As the UNSC, harness the raw power of Magnetic Accelerator Cannons (MACs), offering both Light and Heavy rounds to alter the course of battle. As the Covenant, close in into enemies to unleash terrifying plasma lances -- but keep an eye on your power storage, or your shields may run out!
  • Swarming Assault: Unleash the fury of Cluster Missiles, modular missiles that separate into customizable submunitions to engage various targets, MIRV-like, adding another layer of strategic depth to your assaults.
  • Customize Your Fleet: Pick from a variety of ships from the UNSC, URF, and the Covenant. Specialize each one for different roles to give your strategy an extra edge before the battle begins.

Note: This mod is actively under development; features and content may change. Mod is to be used with the stable branch of the game only - test branch compatibility not guaranteed.

Misc. Notes:

-The URF faction is a reflavored version of the vanilla OSP - tweaked to fit Halo lore. Mazer and the team at Nebulous Fleet Command did such a good job at building a civilian faction that we didn't feel the need to create a new civilian faction from the ground up.

-Many mechanics in the base game already lent themselves to the Halo lore for both UNSC and URF, so some modules and weapons are custom, while others are using vanilla assets. Modules for the Covenant faction are entirely new.

-Due to the nature of Neb's scale, the ships are scaled down to 20% of lore value to fit within the map sizes and roughly around other vanilla ship sizes.

If anyone want's to play this mod then please follow the steps below

Step 1: open the Steam Console with Win+r and in the type in the following below
steam://open/console

Step 2: navigate to the CONSOLE section at the top of steam that has appeared.

Step 3: type in the following below into the console
download_depot 887570 887571 2268151561203466220


what this process does is makes Steam download an old version of the game that the mod worked on (June 3rd 2024 Hotfix version).

After the download has finished you should be able to see where it has placed the files, for me that was in Steam\steamapps\content\app_887570\depot_887571

there you can open the game using the .exe file and it should still load your mods. Since it is an old version of the game some or many of your mods may not work and create errors, you can find which mods within the error console to disable One quirk I found is that it will not load any of your fleet designs so you'll have to remake them from scratch.

Still working slowly and waiting, all. Team is still recovering from IRL stuff and family is priority over modding. We are looking for volunteers to assist us alongside our main dev as we move forward, so if you are interested and know basics of Unity, let us know! so unfortunately the cluster missiles currently don't work/you can't select a sub-munition for them in the editor
