Gas Vents

Description
Create gas vents that can be loaded with gases and slowly disperse them over time when powered. Includes vents for blind smoke and tox gas, custom gases supported.

If you want a version of this only for vanilla gases (which does not require Biotech nor the Simple Custom Gas Framework), you can find it here.

Vents cost 20 steel and 3 components, and consume 40W of power.

@NachoToast is now playing RimWorld That makes a lot more sense, so you were saying that "all the vents do is spawn gas in" because it's not actually using any mortars or shells, so it actually would be compatible then. (or at least, there's no reason to think it wouldn't be) Thanks for the clarification :steamthumbsup:

@Church.exe Ah the wording there is a bit inaccurate on the SCGF workshop page, I'll update it accordingly. SCGF isn't strictly "incompatible" with CE, it will still work, however (from what I've been told) CE changes some stuff related to mortars/shells, so any gas mods will have to account for that if they want to play nicely with CE. So it's as you've guessed, the framework will work fine, the gasses themselves will work fine, but shells, launchers, IEDs, etc.. will *probably* not

@NachoToast is now playing RimWorld but don't they spawn gas via the "Simple Custom Gas Framework" mod? That's listed as being incompatible with CE currently (both on the mod page/discussion itself and the fact that it's not listed in the SupportedThirdPartyMods.md on the CE github) so I can't see how that'd be true if it's relying on that framework unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Is the framework more of a toolkit or something but the actual gasses themselves function fine in-game?

(to clarify, this is in response to your reply to niewielebrakowalo about potential CE compatibility)

Nice thing. Knockout gas vents for prison brakes is a good thing. :-)

Anyway, do someone know of a mod which does not dispers gas, but instead clean rooms of gas? I would like to have comactors indoors, but the tox gas is pushing outdoors when someone enters near in an instant.
I think the mechanic could be the same as with trash bins, only ticking faster and, well, for gas.
