Description
Better Grenades

Better Grenades is a simple mod focused on overhauling Vanilla grenades.

The main mechanic of this mod is The Pin that can be pulled by pressing "Use" key ("E" by default)


If you throw a grenade without pulling the Pin it wont explode, you can prank your friends with this.

Molotov is unaffected by these changes, staying the same as it is in vanilla.

Grenades still explode instantly without any delay when used inside a detonator, railgun shell or a depth charge.

Some grenades, like Incendium, Stun and EMP have some tweaks to them to make them more valid in standard playthrough.

Stun Grenade



They now inflict an effect of temporarily blindness and deafness. Strength of this effect depends on the distance between the target and stun grenades explosion centre.

Incendium Grenade

Now instead of causing fire this grenade leaves a flaming puddle that damages and slows enemies down. It also inflicts a damage-over-time burning effect. Both burning and puddles can be extinguished by water. Now this grenade is safe and effective to use inside the hull. Also its damage to flora is greatly increased allowing you to quickly dispatch ballast growth with one grenade.


EMP Grenade

They additionally drain 100 point of Power Cells condition. Standard batteries would instantly lose all of their charge while better quality ones still retain some power. I am still looking for ideas to make these grenades valid in campaign outside of cheesing guardians.

Is it possible to add collision to the grenades, so if I throw it an enemy, it won't fly through them.

Potential error in StatusEffect (Acid Grenade, Throwable). Target not defined, the effect might not work correctly. Use target="This" if you want the effect to target the entity it's defined in. Setting "This" as the target.

Sir,can you make grenades neutral buoyant? That would make them much more useful in water.

че делать, если оверлей флэшки сжался в левом верхнем углу, закрывает только 1/4 экрана.

@heheboi new sounds, better particle physics, proper interaction with detonators and shells, new mechanics for stuns, incendiaries and emps, different fabrication recipes.
They only share 1 sound and the general idea of pulling the pin.
