[WOTC] Combine Intervention

Description
The Combine have made a triumphant return, rewritten and, hopefully, free of any bugs!

The Combine have formed an alliance with the Elders, resulting in multiple Combine Military Units joining the battle against XCOM. This Mod utilizes existing Workshop Content and seamlessly combines it, providing players with an opportunity to confront the formidable Combine. Notably, the mod has been completely rewritten from scratch, hopefully ensuring a flawless and enhanced gameplay experience that is both bug-free and stable.

New Enemies:
  • The Metrocops. These adversaries, reminiscent of the early ADVENT Troopers, possess the ability to wield three distinct weapons: the 9mm Pistol, the Stun Baton, and the SMG.

  • The Combine Soldiers represent the intermediate tier of the Combine forces currently found on Earth, comparable to the Tier 2 ADVENT Troopers. They have the capability to carry an SMG, a Shotgun, or an AR2.

  • The Combine Elites, are equipped with formidable AR2 rifles, making them the current pinnacle of the Elders' Combine forces.

Submods:
  • Raider Faction - Introduces a new Combine Raider Faction, including all Combine units from this mod, also removing them from the ADVENT Unit Pool.

  • Valve, for their exceptional work in creating the models, sounds, and the captivating antagonistic force that has become a beloved part of our gaming experience: The Combine.

Thank you for dropping in the Combine as an enemy to fight in XCOM 2! Only issue I've run into so far are the Stun Baton metro cops. We had two in a mission, all they did was move, no matter how close they got to me, they never attacked in any way.

They also have invisible guns for me, and I realized I didn't have the raider mod, so I am pretty sure it's normal for them to spawn with advent without it, but I am going to get the raider mod and test it.

they keep spawning as advent rather than a raider facction. They also seem to have invisible guns too

Suggestion; there is a lot of combine fan content out there on the workshop and so if you wanna add variety, especially armor, it could possibly be doable to implement 'more' for combine units. Such as Soldiers who use OICWs, more tactical combine units, etc.

@theman8266 A full total conversion is planned but it's currently not possible to fully replace advent due to there being too few combine units implemented. Well technically it would be doable but then you would encounter nothing else but like a hand full of different combine units for the entire campaign.

It’s weird to see metrocops who have pistols and stun lances withdrawn with them running around with their imaginary primary weapon :steamfacepalm:

Is there any way for the combine to fully replace advent?
