Echoes of Grief

Description
In 1839, Archaeologist Peter Clement left his comfortable home in Breslau to work at an excavation in England. However, early in 1841, he returned home in poor health and with no memory of the past two years.

Over the course of that year, Peter lived with his colleague Wendel Bergmann while he recovered his health and resumed his work at the University of Breslau.

Despite his recovery, Peter's memories remained absent. What really happened in those two years? In the fall of 1841, Peter would find out...

Make sure you have the chemistry pot, opriment, cuprite, and rote formel.
Then, do the following steps in this exact order:
1) Add flowing water to the chemistry pot.
2) Add the opriment to the filled pot.
3) Add the cuprite to the filled pot.
4) Add the pot to the burner and turn it on.
5) Once it is boiling, add the rote formel.

@DominikLOL, it needs to be done in a very specific order, including boiling part of the mixture first. There is a note you find that outlines the exact steps.

not sure why, but i can't combine the orpiment and stuff in the laboratory map.

@oliver.zemanek, That chest is not locked, nor is it possible for it to ever be locked. It's possible that it is jammed somehow. The game's physics engine can get screwy sometimes. Try smacking it with a chair or throwing things at it. Worst case scenario, you can start over, as that is only the second level and it's possible to rush the first level very quickly. Sorry!

I have a problem. It might be a bug, but I cannot open the chest with orpiment in it. (n the room where the grunt spawns) it is locked and cannot find any key. When I look at some letsplays that chest is openable without a key. Is this a bug or was this changed in an update? I have been looking for ways to open this chest for 30 mins now.
