Description
This mod has been merged into The Doorway Expanded mod and therefore won't receive any more updates. Check out the Doorway Expanded mod for the newest version!

Ever wanted to make more use of the Doorway Event chain outcomes?

This Mod adds a new colossus weapon that concentrates Null Void-Beams and makes planets poof out of existence!

To research the colossus weapon, you must have researched the normal Null Void Beams-Technology you get after reaching the Null Void Event outcome at the Doorway event chain.
(And, of course, the colossi technology)

Have fun!

I thought Black Holes were entropic phenomena? You could also explain in the lore text that the black holes aren't actually black holes but tears in spacetime or some such thing. Anyway, regardless of that, I think with the Null Void beam there's also some diplomatic potential, depending on your headcanon here. If the Null Void erases the planet and everyone on it from existence, are they erased backwards in time as well? Or is it only from that point forward in time? I thought it might be cool to have people quickly forget that the planet, and everyone on it, ever existed at all, meaning the diplomatic penalty would decay much quicker.

@Journeyman Prime good idea, but a black hole wouldn't make sense lore-wise, at least rin relation to the null void as it simply maximizes entropy in everything it comes in contact with. Might add that to another colossus in the future though

Have you ever thought about making the post-destruction cooler? Like instead of just deleting the planet and its orbit it replaces the planet with a mini-black hole that follows the same orbit and produces Research or Dark Matter? As it is while I love the idea, the execution is a bit underwhelming and not very flavourful.

That said, I love the idea of linking early-game events and event chains to future, late-game techs and especially Colossus weapons. Perhaps if you get the Mirror Universe outcome you could get a Colossus weapon that swaps the targeted planet with one from the mirror universe? Lots of potential here!

I have a very bad habit of giving my enemies too many chances: (and this is per single war with the same nation)
1: Fuck around and I'll demilitarize you (defensive war with selective bombardment)
2: I'll kill your citizans (non-defensive war with indiscrimite bombardment and claim systems to enemy home system but not claim that system)
3: Purge you homeworld and claim that system (Colossus Neutron Sweep: I don't waste a good planets)
4: Exterminate All Enemies' Planets. (If they try to surrender, I'll declare war on them until they are gone)
5: This Mod (because they won't disappear -_-)
