Delmain Tweaks - Role Apparel

Description
A relatively simple mod that enables the player to customize which clothing pieces are available to be assigned to any given Ideology role. This applies to the player's faction, as well as all factions that generate in the world.

This mod allows you to go into the mod's settings and choose, on a per-role basis, which apparel items are available in the drop-down list of requirements for that role in the Ideology set-up screen. If you want your leader to request to wear Cataphract Armor, you can do that. If you want your melee specialist to demand that they be given a cowboy hat, you can do that, too.

It should support all modded apparel AND modded ideology roles, but please contact me if you find something that doesn't work as expected. There are some limitations at this time, mainly that groups of items filling a single requirement (such as the Cape/Eltex Cape, or Crown/Stellic Crown) must be hand-coded to be supported. If there is a mod that adds an entire category of clothing that you would like supported, leave a comment in the Requests thread and I will take a look when I am able.

An important thing to note here, as with other mods that perform a similar action, this WILL slow down your world generation. Every faction that generates during WorldGen will try to make combinations of roles with all the apparel that is available to them, so the slowdown can get extreme if you enable a great many options for each role. I highly recommend using the default options for each role and only enabling the one or two additional items that you want to use for your own ideology, as opposed to enabling all of the ones that sound fun. If you want to change them up entirely, you are free to do so, but be warned that WorldGen will get slow!

A solution to the above problem might be found in the mod No Random Apparel on Ideology Edit, thanks to user @Archilyte for the recommendation.

Note for users of versions before 1.1.0.0 - Your configurations should automatically convert from the version I was using before to the newer format without your intervention!

Commenting this here too, just in case you don't get notified of my reply to the requests tab.

Can you also add an option for us to add to the Ideology preferred apparel selection for regular men/women without roles? There seem to be no other mods that do this, or at least none that I know of.

Yeah the way that categories work is manual. The category that's already there only includes the ones added in the Royalty DLC. If you're using a mod that adds more capes, then they would need to be added to the category manually.

I have a helldivers colony that's running a bunch of different capes, but none of them are counting as capes.

I thought this mod might help, but the tag of "Capes" doesn't include the cape/back slot. only things specifically marked as capes.

I'm making this comment to better expand and fix the mod, I understand the work around is rough as is. thank you for your mod.

You very much don't want to do that. The game has to check every possible item multiple times for every civilization when the game loads. If you set every item, it will take a looooooooong time to do that. There is already some explanation of that in the mod description.

Is there not a way to "unlock everything" so that all apparel is possible to select for every role? That would be most useful.

Initial 1.6 release. Appears to be working but I haven't done thorough testing and likely won't until the DLC/version is fully released.

THANK YOU! i'm doing a pirate playthrough and was so annoyed I couldn't have my captain wear a bicorne/tricorne... now I can!

Size should be fixed, I accidentally uploaded a non-stripped version of the mod which included all of my full-res screenshots used for making the preview images (and the code and helper files and whatnot). Just uploaded a version without them which should be fine. Shows as 2mb now!

I really want to give this mod a try, but when I saw the size I was concerned. Does this do more than I think it does? Why is it so large?
