State farm "First of May" (ALPHA VERSION)

Size 2km x 2km. Made on the RKKA maps of 1943 (Kharkov region).

"...Our regiment came to the line of Bezrukovka station, northern edge of the garden of the farmstead of the state farm "First of May". Hitlerites three times went into counterattack, aiming a blow to the flank of the regiment's fighting order, but each time rolled back.

With dawn on the 11th of August the division moved forward again. With the support of several tanks and artillery, our regiment, literally gnawing through the enemy defence, came to the northern outskirts of the village of Belashi and the state farm "Zoopitomnik". Further, however, he could not advance. Hitlerites put a massive fire of mortars and artillery. The fascist planes made echeloned bombing strikes. Then by forces up to a battalion of infantry with tanks and assault guns the enemy undertook counterattacks. The fire of his six-barrel mortars and Ferdinand assault guns was devastating.

During the day the regiment repelled three counterattacks, but held the occupied positions."
