SNCF - Melusine and Vigirail

With the opening of the Atlantic HSL, the SNCF placed an order with Alstom for two specialized cars to carry out the daily high-speed inspection on HSL.
The SNCF finally ordered only one of the two cars and named it Mélusine in homage to the coat of arms that this car wore.
The second cauldron made will then be used to design Mélusine's Iberian sister in the colors of Renfe.
Delivered in October 1988, the car began its career with a livery inspired by the Atlantic livery where the blue was replaced by grey.
It was at the beginning of the 2000s that the car received a new livery and thus replaced its gray with Atlantic blue.
Finally, in 2003, the 4530 train returned to the Hellemmes workshops to be deeply modified and came out there three years later, it became a train set entirely dedicated to the inspection of LGVs, it is the French equivalent of Doctor Yellow in the Japan.
The entry into commercial service of the Iris 320 marks the withdrawal of the Mélusine car, which will therefore be used on an ad hoc basis to replace the Iris 320 until its final withdrawal from the workforce in 2019.
