Description
Allows placement of any Engines, turrets, weapons, shields of any faction on any ship, U can mix and mash items on ship with out being held back on faction locked items for a given ship.(I may have missed some Items, since there are a lot to manually change to allow this)

This Mod include ship equipment from the base game and DLC's:
Base Game
Split Vendetta DLC
Cradle of Humanity DLC
Tides of Avarice DLC
Kingdom End DLC
X4: Timelines DLC

This Mod also affects all AI factions as well

This mod is also a Fix for "Cheat Menu" mod: "Add Ship", spawning in with having one or all items missing on them.

Not sure if it's a VRO thing or a base game thing, but it seems like Boron ships are still locked to Boron gear; while other ships can use Boron gear just fine. Any way I can fix this? I love the boron ships but being equipment locked is the suck.

Hi @iseeu0, will there be a fix for Astrid Equipment, outside of the suggestion of Pitagora?

i cant seem to get xenon engines, weapons, ect. to work on anything but xenon ships

@enterprise1959 you need to unpack the mod then go to:
z_equipment_mixing\extensions\ego_dlc_pirate\assets\props\engines\
edit the file "engine_gen_m_yacht_01_mk1.xml" and you'll see the TAGS section, remove "mandatory" and save the file (this unlocks the astrid engine)
go to:
z_equipment_mixing\extensions\ego_dlc_pirate\assets\props\surfaceelements
edit the file "shield_gen_m_yacht_01_mk1.xml" and remove "mandatory" from the tags, save the file (this will unlocks astrid shields)

You don't need anything else since the turrets are already unlocked and astrid guns are pointless.

Once done you can repack the mod or just remove the packed file and replace it with your edited loose files, but disable workshop autoupdate feature because it will probably overwrite your changes.

@iseeu0 if you're not happy about this public infos on your work I apologize in advance and will delete this post asap, Just trying to help x4 players here.

Yeah, 7.10 seems to have changed something about the Astrid equipment.

Problem solved! I've removed the "mandatory" tag from astrid shield, engine and guns files and now I can put that stuff on every M sized ship in the vigor wharf.

Don't know if that fits your mod design idea but here's the solution if you're wondering.
