Opis
A bug I've experienced that may be related to Prototype Armory involves duplicate infinite items in the armory. I believe it has to do with putting attachments on an item and, after removing them, the game still considering it a different instance of the item despite it being infinite.

Essentially what this is doing is going through the entire inventory and keeping track of items and what attachments they have. If it encountes a duplicated item, including any attachments, it removes the duplicates and adds to the first. Duplicate infinites continue to just be removed.

If you aren't experiencing this issue you don't need this.

I think I found the problem of disappear weapon. When you have the guns from the same category with the same attachment(s), it will combine the gun into one listing. Then, when you equip that gun, it will make the other gun that has the same attachment disappear.

For example, you have two Plasma Bullpup and both have superior scope. Instead of showing in the list as two plasma bullpup that has superior scope, it will shows as one plasma bullpup with superior scope and listing it as x 2. Equip one will make the other disappear.

i noticed in past when wpn upgraded, i got a wpn with 2 different stocks on it.
so i tried this mod.

but recently i noticed i got 2 fully upgraded skirmisher guns missing. already chk through all soldier who can use it and make wpn available in loadout screen, they gone.

i can't truthfully tell the cause is due to this, but this is the relevant and recent added mod.

Should work for any items. Armor was just the easiest to replicate for the screenshot.

is this only affect armor? or all stuffs that use mod and inventory like weapon?

Looks like the bug was my end, new game seems to work fine with nanoscale vests.

Definitely need to stop shuffling mods mid campaign. Just... so shiny.

I'm not sure what it could be doing, but let me know what you find. I'll probably put out a release that puts toggled logging in.

Interesting, i am running the Prototype Armoury and Iridar's Vest and Plating Overhaul as well plus additionals/plugins related to these.

As mentioned, this set up was working up until i installed this, but noticed the bug first when a soldier was injured/shaken and auto unequipped (can't remember vanilla game behaviour, this might be a mod too.) Replicated the bug with an unforced unequip and same disappearance of the modded armour.

I guess on the weekend I could try starting up a new game to see if I've broken something installing mid unless anyone else can replicate the issue.

If I unequip armor with modules I get that armor as an option to equip later with the upgrade installed. I use armor upgrades for my basic testing since it's the easiest way to replicate the duplicate bug in the first place. What's your workflow exactly?

Think this mod may be removing the modules from Tesla's Armour Upgrades - unequipping the armour with the module still installed removes both the armour and the module, cleaning up a little too much. Note i installed mid-campaign.
