======= WHAT IS HNEFATAFL =======

Unearth the captivating world of ancient Norse gaming with Tablut Hnefatafl,
a meticulously crafted Garry's Mod addon that brings the historic hnefatafl board game to life.

Immerse yourself in an epic battle of strategy, wits, and conquest, as you step into the shoes of mighty Norse warriors.

Tablut, a variant of the hnefatafl family of games, traces its origins back to the Viking Age.
Hnefatafl, meaning "King's Table," was played across various Nordic and Celtic cultures,
with each having its unique spin on the rules. Our addon replicates the tablut version,
which is believed to be one of the most balanced and well-documented iterations of hnefatafl.


======= HOW TO PLAY =======

1. To play hnefatafl, just spawn the prop under
Entities -> Medieval Board Games
2. The first player that will access the table will automatically be white
3. The second player that will access the table will be black.
4. All other players will be spectator.

For the leaderboard there are following variants:
hnefatafl_chatoutput 1 / 0 - enable or disable chat output for leaderboard
hnefatafl_leaderboard 1 / 0 - enable or disable leaderboard completly (including the button)
hnefatafl_clearleaderboard - reset the leaderboard

======= RULES =======

Main goal is for the king to reach the edges of the board.
If the king is surrounded by black ships, black wins.

If you surround an enemy ship horizontally or vertically it will be beaten.

There are some extra rules, but you can find them online or find out quickly while playing.
Please note, that this is the "tablut" version of the game, which tries to make it more balanced.
