Description
T-5505-C2 Noriker Crane

T-5505 is a basic truck chassis with mounted crane system consiting of pistons, hinges and rotors with magnetic plate at the end. It can lift load from all sides adding to its flexibility.

Some of the many features include magnetic outriggers, tow hitch, buttons on the side for convinience and automated engine start and stop. Noriker crane is simple to build and offers intuitive controls for single person.
The vehicle can be remotely operated via antenna and remote control block.

Feel free to adjust it to your needs. There is a hinge head on the side that you can attach to, I used that in my game with the resupply vehicle linked at the bottom of the description. Might need some adjustments, it's old stuff at this point.

they connect to the cockpit, the cockpit connects to everything else

Yes, how to actually do that: can be done pure vanilla with groups and toolbar, or by scripts, or by mods that aid interacting with each part from character view avoiding menu.

Like what methods? It is a crane, it does what cranes do, it lifts things but can also rotate them

There are also scenarios where this could be really fitting
