@Lach and @ZrPd That's incorrect, in 1917 Ukraine held a regency council, but still identified as a kingdom after the Russian Collapse. Before the Russian expansion age, which began in 1600, it was the Kingdom of the Kyivan Rus, or, the Khanate of Kiev, a precurser to their southern neighbour, the Khanate of Crimea. It was also the precurser to Lithuania, Cossack-don-grande and the Principality of Kiev.
