[B41/B42] Rain Cleans Blood

Description
Tired of zombies splattering their brains all over your pretty lawn? Well no more! Just wait for some rain or snow and watch it all fade away.

What does it do?
This mod makes it so that when it's raining or snowing, blood will slowly fade away from floors and walls nearby.

Doesn't Rain Wash do this already?
That mod cleans your clothes and recent car. This mod complements that.

Does it work in multiplayer?
Yes, it does!

What about ash?
Same as blood, ashes will also slowly be cleaned when it's raining.

Can I add this to my current game?
Yes, you can add or remove this mod whenever you like. It contains no save-breaking features.

How does it work?
Every game tick the mod will look at the current weather and if it's moderately raining or snowing, it will randomly select 8 tiles in the same chunk as you and clean them if they are bloodied.

Why not always?
Because immersion is important to me. I also opted for a more gradual process to save on performance and to give the feature the feeling of "washing away".

Thanks for this mod! I kinda wish there was one single mod that washes blood from the floor and clothes instead of two mods, but Ill take what I get :luv:

@Naustghoul I like that idea, unfortunately it's outside of the scope for this mod.

@TheIronStarlin254 I've not had the time yet to add that functionality

@Akamir is there any way that you sound branch this to add a another effect? I was thinking that, while this is good (and I use it because... reasons) rain also has a muffling effect on sound, so making detection and sound range muffled when it is raining.

That something that you could look into?

so my clothes dont get washed in the rain, does it work on modded clothes as well or just base?

It's OS specific but not an OS issue. It's an issue with the game, and in other cases various mods. It basically comes down to lazy coding.

Thanks for the link! I had a feeling it was an OS issue combined with some funky naming :)

Yes, apologies. The devs tried to shove the blame to the mods and I personally could not tell who's at fault here. I only had experienced case sensitivity issues with mods in the past, so I did not know who's making the call to write into that specific file.

I use the official mod options API as intended to be used by the game, no calls are made to save to the file system in the mod itself, this is all done by PZ internally.

If something breaks there, then it's most likely a PZ bug and should be reported to them.
