This style of turret base is placed inside the primary hull.

-The muzzle point and barrel rotation point move on the rails of the phaser array.
-Fire from the closest point to the enemy on the rail of the phaser array.




-Problems
--Requires a thicker primary hull.
--Turret base and turret must be centered
--Non-circular primary hulls have angles where the muzzle is either far away from the hull or the muzzle point is inside the hull and cannot fire.
This is because the muzzle and barrel rotation point moves over the route of the circle.
