Description
Remixed world generation for a novel DST experience

Tired of the same boring biomes? Do you want more variety in your worlds, but without changing game balance or adding gimmicky new prefabs? Try Diverse Realms!

This mod introduces twelve new custom biomes. The biomes make extensive use of modded noise tiles, and prefab placement is modded to be tile-sensitive. As a result, biomes tend to be more varied than in the base game, resulting in a more naturalistic aesthetic.

Want to give it a try? We're currently running a server with the mod at [Diverse] Diverse Realms.

Future Enhancements
This mod is currently under development. Recommendations are encouraged, but here are a few of the directions I'm hoping to go in the future:
  • More new biomes
  • More variations on existing biomes
  • Modded lunar island and other modded islands
  • Modded cave generation
  • More extensive world randomization
  • Custom set pieces
  • Configurable world settings

Others have mentioned, but this no longer seems to work. I get stuck on world generation and the game never loads.

update the mod please, this latest update prevents the creation of the world

Causes the game to be stuck on world generation for me, I could leave for like almost an hour and it'd never leave world gen. Not a conflict with another mod because I had it be the only mod in a test world and it still happened. Might be because of the new update or something.

I played first Autumn on one of the modded public servers just now and it was a really fun version of the DST experience. I've subscribed and will definitely do some of my own worlds with it! @adhocpie do you think you will get back to development and add more stuff eventually?

Cool to see the world shaken up a bit, does make for a more refreshing experience when exploring. However the world is a bit too noisy, and I've found Lunar Trees on the Mainland. Otherwise cool idea! Hope to see more config options down the line :)

please add a way to turn off twiggy trees; default worldgen option doesn't affect it; the twigs they produce across the map is insane
