Hey, Legend, do you think that you could add a submod to include the resources from additional mods, like Star Wars New Dawn?

Cool, I'm glad you liked my idea enough to look into it :)

I'm looking at the holdings inside the files, and i cant make it so ONLY protectorates have no limit on how many of the same one you can place. i can remove the restriction on how many times these buildings can be built per planet. but that would apply to all vassal types. Though i might be wrong, ill ask around.

I guess I should have been more clear. Instead of 0-3(?) building slots it would be like 5 minimum, and no cap on the building Ministry of Extraction, Ministry of Acquisition, and Ministry of Energy.
(or unique buildings depending on how into my idea you are) and this would simulate more accurately real life colonial subjects with far less technological progress than its master because instead of, like you modded it, the protectorate is straight up taxed, which was not mainly the case in colonialism, but it was more that the overlord would build infrastructure in order to mine the resources of the colony. :)

This is already possible in the base game, you can make protectorates have holdings?

I suggest making them forced to have multiple building slots and the overlord could build many resource building in them instead, extraction ministry i think its called. Because then they would act like a true colonial subject with far less tech, the overlord can exploit them but need to set up the infrastrucure to do so
