This is my very first skin from a pattern-based collection I call “Dungeon”. I plan to add the Scar-20, Nova, Mp7, P2000, Ump-45, & Aug in the future. I chose these guns due to their low usage during a match, paired with displaying the pattern near flawlessly.

I wanted to create a pattern that has standout options for desired patterns such as the black widow, glowing eyes, spider web, and some other small ones. The dungeon theme was inspired by artists like MF DOOM, & grimy pixel art games. My goal was to include as much texture, variation, grunge, & contrast using colour as well as shape with a snake breaking up the brick pattern throughout. Theres also a couple of swords, rats, metal bars, & holes in the wall adding more variation to the design.

I initially started the pattern with the intention to use a spray paint finish on it. After a load of testing, I settled with the patina finish since it fits perfectly for the theme. This is so when the skin wears down it looks as if the bricks are decaying as opposed to just scratching off like paint. Another note is that the lowest float (0.6) possible just reaches into factory new. This leaves a notion of rarity for FN, as well as forcing most unboxes to display the decayed aesthetic.
