Description
DD51形は、蒸気機関車の置き換えのために国鉄が導入した液体式ディーゼル機関車です。合計で649両が製造されました。
1187号機は2003年に1186号機と共にお召列車の牽引機として活躍した機関車で、現在は「津山まなびの鉄道館」に保存されています。
