This is an updated version of a guide I posted on my old account in 2016.

How I get the results:

The bullet spread results are me shooting at the target, then marking the bullet spots in photoshop. I'd say the results are 95-99% accurate, I did not create these with surgical precision. All images are hipfire only results but I talk about ADS accuracy in text.

Laser means that I provide results for laser sights. Results are color coded blue in same image.
Spray means I either held fire or spammed fire.
Single fire means I only provided one input.

Range: Distance before gun deals no damage.
Damage falloff: Every 500 ingame units weapon damage drops by a percentage.

My guide is mainly to showcase the bullet spread. It was never meant to include melee weapons or infected abilities in any capacity.

While I would probably have tested the mounted weapons if I could, this was all done on a community map, and you can't spawn the mounted guns in through console from what I tried to look up. Only items you can carry.

I thought of learning mapping just to get better testing results for the guide, but it's not really something I'm interested in, and there weren't better alternatives either.

I explain the stats at the guide start.

But dropoff is every 500 units & weapons have different modifiers. Range is the maximum distance. Some weapons still do a lot of damage at the maximum distance, like snipers have max damage always & rifles are somewhat close to it.

what's exactly damage drop off? After the max range a gun has like over 2500 it has drop off or the drop off is separate for other within-range?

Great guide, I was looking another guide about accuracy of weapons and it showed the minimum spread when crouching, standing. Those stats are crucial and it would best for you to add them each weapon.
For example,the difference in M16(maybe SG as well) when crouching is huge! Because the min spread is somewhere to 0.1 or almost zero? I forgot but you can see the difference in many weapons when you crouch and the assault rifles and snipers have the largest benefit when you crouch. I.e your shots will be 100% accurate unlike the other weapons where it may miss even if crouched (unless laser sights)

@Not A Grill, although the spread overall is about equal to M16 and SSG, it's fair to take into account the fact that it's a burst rifle. The first bullet from that burst will be more accurate than bullets from rifle spray + it's higher damage per bullet.
