Description
As name suggests, mod is focused around improving the Army General mode, with primary goal of fleshing out monotonne copy paste regiments into more interesting and unique to play. Steel Division 2 is filled with gorgeous units that rarely get represented in Army General mode, which is quite a shame and my goal is to change that. 🤓

!Currently only Burning Baltics is changed!

Primarily Axis regiments have been altered and recommended to play as. To ease the search for edited units, changed strategy map pawns have slightly changed color.

Current Features:

  • Increased score points to allow the defending side to reorganize and counter attack after a breakthrough.
  • AI is vastly more aggresive on campaign map.
  • 215. Infanterie Division was largely replaced with mixed Italian force consisting primarily of elite mountain troops, supported by light Italian armour and attached German stugs.
  • 290. Division Gruppe is now an adhoc battlegroup of depleted fallschirmjäger battalions hastily reinforced to combat strength by french volunteers, ostruppen and rear police units. While strong in firepower, being a largely on foot, any offensive manouvers will require usage of supply tracks to deliver infantry to the front.
  • 93. Infanterie Division's 272nd Infanterie Regiment has been mostly replaced as mixed offensive group consisting of Gebirgsjäger, Hungarians and Croatian volunteers, supported by nebelwerfer battery and various repurposed captured equipment.
  • Soviet Rifle divisions AT guns numbers reduced closer to actual 1944 authorized organization, instead will receive attached divisional, corps or independent units to each regiment. [WIP] All Soviet Rifle Divisions updated to lower amount of low caliber AT guns and multi-purpose cannons, but only Guards Rifle Divisions feature additional attached units currently.
  • Air wings have been reduced in strength but diversified(Currently Axis). Planes have been spread across the frontline regiments to simulate constant ongoing air sorties(Partially done).
  • Minor battlegroup changes here and there to add more memorable battles.

Planned Features:

  • Custom infantry squad loadouts and traits for extra variation
  • Other Army Generals(and in the future probably Warno ones)
  • Alternative Army General scenarios like Operation Unthinkable[Westen Allies+Axis vs Ussr] or Western Allies(replacing soviets) vs Axis etc.
  • Gameplay changes.
  • AI tweaking.

After Burning Baltics is fully completed, most likely will do a smaller one next, then alternative version of Burning Baltics, back to a bigger one like Vistula.

my main issue with Baltics is the campaign ends on German side the moment the objectives are taken. i havent met 60% of soviet forces. Met an IS tank once. I dont understand why they keep doing this here and in Warno. Any chance to change the objective to hold the flags until end of last turn?

is there a way you can modify general games to allow more than the starting players to play a game?

lets say i start a game with 2 people, i want to do it with 4 or 5 but then ill have to start a whole new game. could you modify that into your mod or is that out of your hands? thank you very much!

Battle timewise I think will remain as is, at most could experiment with 10-20min longer, as I don't want to turn it into a complete attrition war to the last unit in a single battle.
As for dlc, I don't know, just try it out.
