The Active-class patrol boat is a light combat vessel based on the same spaceframe as the Alert-class light patrol boat. Compared to the Alert-class it is more heavily armed, more durable and faster and just as it's lighter sister class almost exclusively deployed as a light patrol, customs and law enforcement vessel in relatively safe areas of space near stations.
