Caxton Theater

An old art deco theater from Grimsby in the UK.

Originally a Primitive Methodist Church, this building was in Grimsby, UK was converted into the Premier Cinema in 1922. It was gutted by fire in September 1934. Rebuilt in an Art Deco style, it re-opened as the 1,350-seat Plaza Cinema in late-November 1935.

In 1983, it was renovated and re-opened as the Caxton Theatre. The Caxton Players are a youth theater group that puts on occasional productions.
