Description


This replaces every default font to a custom Cecil on L4D2

Ive been wanting to do or make something like this for awhile and really happy it finally worked the way I want it to be.

Just subscribing to this wont work. You will have to do some steps to actually make the texts and color appear on your game.

1. Once you have subscribed, go into your game and wait for the addon to complete downloading.

2. Quit the game, then go into "Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop"

3. Find the addon number "2939693219"

4. Cut the addon (.vpk) and paste into the addons folder only.

5. Go to "Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\cfg" and find or create "autoexec.cfg". To make one, here's a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aT7kFj7ZGI (video is for tf2 but works with l4d2 as well)

6. Paste this into your autoexec: mat_setvideomode 1920 1080 1; mat_setvideomode 1920 1080 0; (If you have other screen resolutions, replace "1920 1080" with your current one.

Here's the download to the font. Once it is downloaded, click on it and click install. This allows to create a font on your computer so that the game can identify the font to be used.

Every time or so I do update this, there will be changes.

If you having trouble seeing your ping from tabbing the scoreboard, here's an addon I made to avoid that conflict:

I know Im sorry :( The original font name is cecil and I think theres some hello kitty designs in it but this one I edited them out because it wasnt working well with how font is being used in this game. Someone also made a fixed version somewhere in these comments or in the workshop haha

No pressure just if u ever feel like doing it and thank u! Its just that 1 thing i'd change and its thoose border colors at the end besides that everything is PERFECT i absolutely love this font and all other stuff where the colour is applied to :steamhappy:
