This is an adaptation of ASL Scenario S, "The Whirlwind," originally published in The General issue 28.4. The player controls the attacking Germans, while the Americans set up hidden in the village. See the version notes for changes from the original.

As the German defenses crumbled before the U.S. Third Army, the fighting became fluid and confused. On the night of the 17th of April, elements of a recon troup of the American 26th Infantry Division occupied a tiny village on the outskirts of Auschaffenburg without opposition. Based on civilian reports of this presence by the enemy, the staff of the 471th Replacement Division, the only German military unit in the vicinity, launched a hasty counterattack.
