Description
This is the 1998/99 Database for Football Manager 2023.

NB! MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE THE FOOTBALL MANAGER 2023 DEFAULT 23.0.0. DATABASE WHEN SETTING UP A NEW CAREER. IF YOU CHOOSE A FM DATABASE WITH AN UPDATE, IT WILL CONFLICT WITH THE 1998/99 DB.


Everything in this FM23 database has been reverted back to 1998. All the leagues are as they where back in 1998, with all the teams and players from back then. The player attributes is copied manually from the original Championship Manager 3 1998/99. So now you have the chance to manage all the legends from the late 90s, in the modern Football Manager match engine.

PLAYABLE LEAGUES :

ENGLAND - (Premier League + 1. Division + 2. Division)
ITALY - (Serie A + Serie B)
SPAIN (La Liga)
FRANCE (Ligue 1)
GERMANY (Bundesliga)
SCOTLAND (Premiership)
PORTUGAL (Primera)

DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

Click the SUBSCRIBE button and the 1998/99 DB fmf file will be downloaded to the appropriate folder on your computer.

FMF file
The fmf file can be opened with the editor or to setup a custom career.

When using the fmf file its important that you select the Default Football Manager 2023 23.0.0 database as it won't work properly with an updated FM database.

When starting a new career.

Tick 'The 1998/99 DB' box – Make sure no other editor data files are ticked!
Click Confirm and Choose Advanced Setup
Choose your preferred leagues out of the playable leagues.
Then press Approximate Player Count and choose ‘Advanced’
Select the nations you want to load players from besides the active leagues, to make sure that as many players as possible will be loaded.
tick the boxes saying Players Based in Nation – Even if your computer says that the number of players exeeds the recommended level it will only load the approximately 10.000 players which is created in the DB.
Finally, press Start Game and enjoy the nostalgia trip.

I am starting to use this mod, but can you send me a link to your face pack and the kit and logo pack please, so that i can try this out for myself.

josh.j.steele.2000 Does the editor crash or does it freeze? Although it seems like its freezing it will eventually finish loading. Can take a lot of time depending on your computer.

Not working trying to load it in the editor in order to test the league like the game told me too and its just crashing the editor for no reason what so ever
